Testimonial Dinner and Basement

It is the day we have been waiting for because it is our chance to see our batch mates after graduating last March. Everybody was excited and at the same time wondering because as we received the text message that there will be a testimonial dinner. Everybody's question was "Is it for free?" and yes it was as everyone who received the message was expected to call the Dean's secretary to confirm their attendance and could inquire about the incoming event. It was held at the Mondragon House. We are wondering why the venue was there thinking that the school would rather choose to held occasions like this in the school ground, saving them money since it is only for free. Luckily for us that it was held outside the school grounds and for the fact that the Mondragon House was located in Makati.

Around 5pm, I was all set to the said event and I was supposed to accompany my other classmates to the venue since they never knew where it was, but because of a saying "family first", I decided to go with my family since it's my brother's birthday the other day and my mother decided that we should have dinner that night.

Around 7 to 8pm, I was at the Paseo Center specifically at Teriyaki Boy eating dinner, I didn't ate much because I was expected to come to the testimonial dinner later that night. I was texting my other classmates that was already there and asking if the event has already started and he said that it was and they were already having their dinner.

At 8pm, I was dropped by the Mondragon House and I thought that I was the only one who came late but when I went up to the second floor where the event was held, luckily for me that there were many of us who were late. After signing the attendance and after presenting the new registered nurses, we decided to enter the hall and start to find my group of friends. I had the chance to eat even though that dinner was already over and the program started a few minutes ago.

As the program went by at the same time we mingle to our batch mates and our professors, saying our hi and hello's to them. After an hour the program was finished and was closed by singing our alma mater hymn. And of course the photo session with the whole batch, together with the school administrators and our professors. Everyone with digital camera's flaunt it with their friends. Unfortunately, my camera doesn't have batteries since it's batteries was so expensive yet it's life's use was only short. I also had the chance to talk to our Dean, since she had helped us when we were filing our application in PRC Baguio and I also told her that we were just neighbors. She even offered me a ride home, but of course I would rather not accept it and just made an alibi that my parents were waiting for me downstairs, which is not true.

After all the photo sessions and the event was already done, gimik time is next and we are undecided to where to go. Our other friends decided to went home and the other half wants to hang out somewhere. We ended up going to Libis specifically at the Basement with an entrance fee of P200 inclusive of 3 drinks which we could choose from an iced tea and beer.

I didn't have the chance to dance since the music played inside was not my type. I'd rather look to those who were dancing and the people around. Around 2am, three of our friends decided to go home and we intend to stay until 4am. We just went at the stage and seated there for an hour and had my chit chat with my friends since I asked them a favor to stay at least up to 5am there because it was still dark and it is dangerous in our area around that time to go home riding a bus. At last the sun started to shine when we reached the Pasay area and decided to ride a jeep going home. c",)

Oath Taking Day

It's been two weeks since I blogged about things or about everyday life... since I don't have work yet I just have my daily routine of waking up, watching t.v. the whole day and eating three important meals per day. These past two weeks is a rainy day and I was so lazy to get out of the house and how could I get out? I even don't have enough money to just eat outside or meet some friends within the subdivision.

October 1 came and I had the chance to talked to Motmot about our plans for tomorrow's event which is our oath taking at the Araneta Coliseum around 8am and our expected guest Karlo.

I woke up around 5:45am even though I set my cellphone to alarm at 5:00am, what else is new? even though I set the alarm at a certain time that I want, still I would wake up late as I expected. Motmot was about to fetch me around 6am because her car is on coding so we better get to the venue before 7am or else she could be stopped and be ticketed by the MMDA traffic enforcer. Fortunately, we arrived at the venue within 30 minutes and there is already a queue, but first we have to find a parking space for her car and luckily found one near the entrance. Before we get out of the car, I waited for her to finish fixing her self like putting some make-up and fixing her hair and putting her nurse's cap. When all is set and done, we decided to enter the premises because it's a first come, first serve seating arrangement. We haven't eaten our breakfast which is the important meal of the day and decided to bought some burgers and bottled water from Wendy's which is located inside the coliseum. Motmot got her friend to come with her since she is alone. We got our souvenir program near the entrance which is for free, would you believe it? There are also those annoying people who forcibly place a ribbon on our gala and saying that they are the official photographer of the PRC, but sorry for them I turned them down and said that it isn't necessary anyway. We managed to get to our seats having a great view from the stage. Luckily some of my schoolmates were seated infront of us. The program started around 9:30am, as usual delayed as expected. The speaker announced that the seats are just enough for the inductees but many of the late inductees don't have seats and others decided to stand up or be seated on the stairs while the program is going on. The program is kinnda boring because of the speakers and of the presentation of the top 10. We are just an audience for them and just got to participate when the oath taking is already the next in line. We also had our nurse's pledge and the oath taking for the PNA. After the program, we took some pictures while inside the dome and went outside to meet our expected guest. I also managed to take some pictures with my classmates even though my digicam doesn't work because I don't have new batteries to replaced the old ones, instead I borrowed my mother cellphone which has a cam feature.

After the oath taking, we went inside the Gateway Mall to change our outfits into more comfortable ones. We are supposed to have our lunch there but decided to eat at Trinoma since we have to rush going there before 3pm because of the coding again. But before we got into the car, it was already raining hard outside and can't get there even by running. My sight starts getting blurred and that signals me to eat already and I need some sugar. Since the car was parked near the entrance of the coliseum and infront of the GoNuts Donuts, we decided to have some donuts to surpass our hunger.

When we reached Trinoma we are undecided as to where are we going to have our lunch, we picked from Cibo, Recipes, La Mesa Grill and ended up at California Pizza Kitchen. The idea was good since I haven't eaten at those restaurants and decided to give it a shot. We ordered a pizza which is named "Worker's", which is their best-seller and a pasta which is looked like a carbonara but when you tasted it, it just melts in your mouth. For our drinks, Motmot and I ordered a raspberry iced tea which is refillable. Karlo ordered different sodas which is also refillable. Motmot and I decided that it's our treat to Karlo since we are already a registered nurse. We strolled and checked out the different stores inside the mall and also strolled outside because they have a garden and fountain outside surrounding the front and top of the mall. We also dropped by Dairy Queen to buy some treats. Then we strolled again and didn't have the chance to watch a movie since the time is already approching 6pm and the coding ends at 7pm so we decided to eat at Taco Bell and decided to go home around 8pm... Oh what a great tiring day!!! ^_^

One week after...

Haven't blogged for a week, since I got sick and I dunno why. All I know is, my tempearture just got up and I'm just sleeping the whole day for the week. Just got better during the weekends and got the chance to drive and stroll.

I made myself busy and productive today, by waking around 9am and cleaning the living room. Justt watched T.V. because I missed watching last week since I'm sleepy and restless. My college friend, I used to be with in Baguio last summer texted me and asked of what are my plans because they are going to Baguio to register there their license because here in Manila, their schedule is way sooner than they thinked. I think it's our advantage there because we too k the exams there and knowing somebody there makes our lives different here. I want to go there but my problem is that I don't have enough money to go and stay there for 3 days. I already told my mother, but seems that she don't have any budget for that too. So I should say that I couldn't register there unless, a miracle would happen for me. I already asked for my other friends if they want to go with me since they don't have anything to do, but they have the same problem as mine. Oh well, I'm just trusting it to the Lord, I know and believe that He could help us in His own ways...

PRC and MDC

I woke up at 6:30am because my college friends and I are going to the PRC to try our luck to get a request for the certification that we passed the NLE. Around 8:20am, I arrived at McDonald's Pedro Gil and waited there till before 9. When we reached the PRC, there's already the long queue, but on the contrary it is moving fast. Around 10, we are already in. I asked my friend where could I get my oath form notarized, since I didn't know that it is a requirement to do so. We went to the second floor and got it notarized and after that went back to the ground floor. We tried at least 3 windows and asked if we could get that precious "yellow form," which is used to request for a certification for the board ratings and passing the exams. My other friend got his request last week. But unfortunately, all the people in the windows said that they are not yet giving forms for those who passed this June 2007 and said that we could request after the Oath taking ceremony. My question is that how could we get a job if they are delaying our requirements??? With no luck we left the PRC and I decided to go to school to get my revised TOR and alumni card. My friends went to the Infant Jesus Hospital because they are going to try to apply there for work. I reached the school around 11:30am and went directly to MIS since that's the place where I submitted my "wrong" TOR, but directed me to get it from the registrar. So I got it from there and checked with them if they already changed the errors permanently since I submitted another request of TOR for the BON of California, worrying that they may send the wrong TOR to them. Mam Lisa confirmed that it was already changed and that there's nothing to worry about. After confirming it, I went to the student's affairs office to get my alumni card. I can't believe it that it is free (or I believe that the money they used to made the cards are the money we paid every semester). After doing my itineraries for the day, I thinked to go to Makati to have my haircut but thinking twice, I decided to go home instead.

It's Toby's Birthday

Stayed home the whole day and a friend called me up around 3pm and asked if I could go to Toby's house later to surprise him. My friend didn't attend his class and just prepared himself so that he could go to Toby's birthday. We arrived at his house around 11pm and celebrated his birthday with spaghetti, hot dogs, pork chops, and ice cream. Stayed there till 5am in the morning, just chatting and reminiscing our high school days.

Home Buddy

I just stayed at home yesterday and today, just watched T.V. and played the Vitua Tennis 3 on my brother's PSP. It's so addictive to play since you could start being from nothing to an expert and challenge other players who are famous in the world of Tennis. You could practice to upgrade your volleying, serving, footworks and strokes. You could also earn some stuffs such as new sportswear, racket, shoes, wristbands and accessories such as sun and eyeglasses. YOu could also choose from different kinds of rest such as drinking energy drinks to boost your stamina, have a rest in your house for one week or have a vacation for three weeks.

Ratings, PNA, Oathtaking tickets and NBI

I woke up around 6:30 am because me and my college friend that I was with yesterday will be going to the PRC to get our ratings and try to register even though the PRC had already posted the schedule according to the surname. 8am I left the house since we will meet at SM Manila at 9am. When I reached the said mall, it was still closed and because the Jollibee had there breakfast meals, it is already open. I decided to wait my friend there. I was expecting that she was with her boyfriend, but upon seeing her she is with her friend. We rode a cab going to the PRC because nobody knows how to get there riding a jeepney. When we reached EspaƱa, we already noticed the long queue going to the PRC gates. We are lucky that we didn't got bored while waiting for the line to move because there are two dogs together with their owner who entertains the people passing by the sidewalk.

At last we reached the entrance and the guard gave me a verification slip to be filled up. We don't have any idea on where to start and where to go. The annoucements outside are telling us to go to the 5th floor where we could get our verified ratings but when we reached the said floor, there were people who are having their exams and the man sitting outside said that the ratings could be found at the ground floor. So we just followed what the man told us and started to follow other people who have the same intentions as ours. I filled up the form submitted it together with my application stub and waited for my name to be called. My friend and her friend couldn't claim their ratings since their surnames are not scheduled today.

After hearing my name and got my ratings, I went to the 3rd floor to get the tickets for the oath taking, but I decided to apply for a membership at the PNA booth, filled up their form and paid P300 for the membership till December. I went down to the other building to get an oath form to be filled up and to have it stamped with metered documentary stamp, it costed me P42 even though the stamp is only P15. My friend and her friend decided to have lunch outside and left. The lunch break came and the "selling" of the tickets was halted. Waited for almost an hour and a half, I decided to get on the queue for the tickets and when I got the ticket it says "Complementary NOT FOR SALE," but the ticket cost us P400 each and P300 for each guest. I wonder where will the money go. By the way, they don't issue a receipt for every ticket paid.

I haven't taken my lunch that time, and it was already 2pm. I texted my friend if they are still within the vicinity so that I could follow. I followed them at McDonald's and ordered the BigMac meal since it's price was already lowered. They waited for me to finish my meal because I will go with them to Quiapo.

I have another plan for the afternoon and that is to meet my other college friend at NBI so that we could have our fingerprints taken for the NCLEX requirement. They arrived around 3pm and go to the process. After doing all the necessary stuffs, I planned to go to school to get my improved TOR but it was already 4pm and the office hours are already over. So I decided to go home because I am already tired and exhausted.

TOR and MOA

Last night before I went to sleep I had the chance to talk to my college friend and we talked about our NCLEX plans, fortunately she meets mine and vice versa, so we arranged our plans and agreed that we could submit our forms for the TOR to our school today. We met around 10am and submitted the forms needed to be filed by our school and I already returned my wrong TOR for the school to change and replace it. Lunch time came and we decided to have our lunch at MOA in Pupungs. I haven't tried eating there though during our college days, we often stroll at MOA after school hours or during break time. I ordered grilled pork with an unusual I think its butter or cheese sauce. The cost of the food is same in Chiggy's, where we usually eat a lot. After having our lunch, we bought some stuffs for the requirements for the registration in the PRC. My friend had her TOR and birth certificate photocopied ,including our diplomas. She had her photograph taken for the photos required in the PRC. The remaining hours, we spend it at the Powerbooks since its our hobby to read some books whenever we are at a mall with a Powerbooks branch. Around 4pm, we decided to go home...

Sister's Online

Just stayed home the whole day after the mass, watch TV, surf the internet and play some PC games... My mom and I was supposed to go to the grocery but out of my laziness, I didn't accompany her. Lucky for me that I didn't go with her because my sister called and said that she was online and that I should go online too. So I quit the game that I was playing and logged on to my YM. She said she is okay there and landed safe and sound, she didn't have the chance to talk to us all because when she was in the plane, she didn't have the chance to get enough sleep. She already strolled in the malls and Ikea to buy some stuffs for the house. My father, mother and my brother have the chance to talk to her online, unfortunately she doesn't have a webcam there, but she could see us through our webcam. When the conversation is over, and said our goodbyes, I already decided to sleep... zZzz..

To the Midnight Madness Sale!!!

Around 10am, my mother woke me up and asked me if we are going to the mall sale, of course I said yes even though I don't have enough money. I just want to buy a SD card as my replacement to the SD card that I broke. So when we arrived at the mall, we just strolled and strolled and sometimes bought some things we need. Around 6pm we decided to go home because we are already tired and exhausted.

Maki dinner

I was just at home the whole day, but around 5pm, my father and I went to Makati to fetch my mother and brother. We are suppose to go to Glorietta because it is Midnight Madness, but due to the traffic and the rain, we decided to went home instead and eat the Maki that my mother ordered from her officemate...

All day out

Wake up at 7:45am and rushed to take my breakfast and bath. My college friend already texted and already ready to go. We went to our school to get our transcript for employment and to visit our other classmates there. We decided to visit our classmate, who arrived from Palawan for vacation. Around 1pm, my college friend and I decided to leave because we have other committments for the afternoon. I went to Makati because my highschool friend scheduled us for a haircut, but on the last minute we declined and decided to postponed it. We just stroll He proposed that we watch "Hairspray" instead but finally decided to eat at Kitchen. I ordered "on barbie's cue" and "grandslam." My friend ordered "wash a shore" and "grandslam." At 5:30pm, I already decided to go home because my friend has a class to attend from 6pm to 9pm, but before I went home I dropped by Bioresearch to buy a fish for my newly setup aquarium.

Sister's Departure

Now is the day my sister is leaving for Dubai. Sad but true, well it's definitely a first come, first served basis for everyone of us and I think it is her time to leave our country to find and experience a greener pasture. Hope that she will accept my cousin's offer to be a flight attendant there. All I can say is Bon Voyage and take care...

Confused to where to start...

I've been thinking of what options I would do after passing the NLE and I am so confused to what direction I would take. My options are:
1. Apply for a job in a hospital (as a volunteer first because our oathtaking and registration is scheduled on October.
2. Enroll at a NCLEX review center and sit for the test after. (I still don't know where to get the money for this one)
3. I dunno if I could do both at the same time.
Oh well, all I know is that God has good plans for me...

Published in the local newspapers...

It's a great morning to rise and shine. This is the day that our names will be published in our local broadsheet newspapers. And yes I had a goodnight sleep after many days of sleepless nights and woke up around 7am. As I went downstairs to eat my breakfast, my mother arrived and already bought the newspaper and I was so excited to see my name, after all you could just see your name either you are the newsmaker, or the newsbreaker. So there it was the names of the successful examinees of Nurse's Licensure Exam held last June 10 and 11, 2007 printed in 24 pages of the G section of the Manila Bulletin. I decided to highlight in green all the names of my fellow batchmates using the graduation invitation and highlighted in orange all the names of other people that I know. I highlighted mine in yellow.

My family decided to have a little celebration including our relatives in my grandmother's house. At first it was just a "despedida" for my sister, but of course having the good news for me, it became a double celebration. It was kindda sad because our other cousins didn't come because they have to attend stuffs for their school activities.

And the long wait is over...

Since my sister is about to leave soon for Dubai, my family(excluding my father) and I decided to go to Makati to stroll and to let my sister buy some stuffs needed for her departure. Around 5pm, when we are about to go home, my father texted my mother that the results are already available on the internet. When I arrived home, I jumped in our computer and checked it out. I first visited the PRC's website, but there's no luck yet and searched it on yahoo and landed on a blogsite that had a chatroom and the chatters are talking about the results and as I continue reading their messages, someone asked to where she could see the results and the other one answered, "inquirer.net!" And so I rushed to type the URL and boom wala, the names are written through a PDF fomat, lucky for me because I have an Acrobat reader and after I downloaded it, I was hesitant at first and already feeling the pressure as my mom went upstairs and checked it too. As I scroll down the names and checking for my name, the lub dub sounds beats faster and faster. I thought I never made it because I already passed out all the surnames with the same as mine, but when I reached the end of the page, I was the last. And right then on my mother and I jumped and shout aloud... My mother was very happy and crying out of joy. I was so overwhelmed and look for my classmate's and friend's names who passed and called and texted them right away... other's don't believe me, while other's are hesitant unless they could see it by themselves. They asked me for the site and proudly gave it. Calls and texts flooded my cellphone because others can't access it anymore and just asked me to see if their friend's name is listed since I had saved it to my pc. Our school's standing was 95% for the first examinees and 50% for the retakers, overall its 93%. My parent's started to text our relatives here in the Philippines and overseas. Greetings and praises showered like a heavy rain and I never felt this good since I was born... hehe Congratulations to everyone who made it!!! Cheers to the new RNs ^_^

It didn't work...

After a tiring day, getting a goodnight sleep didn't pay off. I was ready to bed about 9:30pm, but unfortunately I woke up around 11:30pm and of course didn't have the chance to get back to sleep until now. I was expecting that it was already around 5 or 6am but not. I wonder when will this end :(

Operation Busy Day

I've been texting quotes to my college friends last night since my load would expire by tomorrow and others replied a quote too. I asked one of them if what are the things he do to make him fall asleep and he said that he cleans their house and makes himself busy. He also recommend me to do my favorite sport everyday so that I would be exhausted and could easily fall asleep, but I told him that I don't have any playmates here since I don't go out and for the fact that I don't have friends nearby. So I insisted to sleep even though its hard and force myself to be awake as early as I can and thank God that I have to use the bathroom and force to be up around 10am, so I 'm considering what my friend told me and keep myself busy so that I would be really tired at the end of the day. I first hand-washed my jacket because my father used it and left it dusted. I tried to set up my other aquarium since it is already full of dust and cleaned the other aquarium since it was last cleaned a year ago and lucky enough that one fish still survives. After that, I decided to clean our bathroom because no one cleans it but me. I was tired though it makes me happy because I was productive this day.

Sleepless Nights

Since I went home from Baguio, I never really had a goodnight sleep because its either I sleep late or I could sleep but I could be awake right away. I don't know if it is because of the results of the NLE or maybe something else. I knew that I am not alone having a difficulty in sleeping since I text everyone in my phone and greet them and to find out if they are still up. Yes and I was right my college friend 1 couldn't sleep till 11am, and she just kills time watching DVD series, she said that nowadays she already improved because she could sleep around 7am. My college friend 2, sleeps around 3am, just playing PC games. College friend 3, sleeps at 3am also just playing PS2 games. Others, I dunno, they just text me late at night or they are online chatting with me too...

NLE 2007 results hopefully

At last, next week is the last week of August and hopefully the results will be out. It's been two months and still the days are still counting on when the results will be. When I'm online the other day, I had the chance to chat with my college friend and told me that their review center had texted them and told them that the results will be out this coming August 27 which falls on a Monday and fortunately this day is declared a non-working holiday due to the commemoration of the National Heroes Day. I wonder if revealing of the results will push through since it is a holiday. Oh well the long wait will hopefully end sooner. Will the newspapers will be the first to reveal it or the internet? All I know is that newspapers will be the first one to know because it's in the law that board passers name should be release to the public, but when I had a chance to talk to my highschool friend, who took up the NLE too said that, when the results of the MD's exam was already posted on the internet prior to the newspapers.

One Tree Hill

Yes, folks, it will be a long wait. But rest assured, our favorite teens will return April 11 with the first of the final 6 episodes of the fourth season. The wait will be excruciating (if you're a hardcore fan) but the upcoming storylines promise to be fascinating. I for one can't wait to see what will be of Peyton now that that psycho stalker of hers is back.

And regarding a fifth season, since so many of you have been wondering and posting about the show's fate on the forum, here are my two cents: Yes, I believe that One Tree Hill will return. If it does not, that would be a major shocker. Here are three reasons as to why I believe it's coming back:

1. The ratings for this season have not been the best but also not the worst. The show has reached its highest numbers since season 2 but also it’s lowest. However, seeing as it built momentum with the pre-prom episode and it will be leading out of America's Next Top Model when it returns, expect the ratings to go up.

2. The CW is lacking in programming. Sure, it has a few good pilots in the works, but it has major gaps to fill with other struggling series and dead slots, especially on Sundays and Mondays. Canceling One Tree Hill would only make it worse as they would have even more gaps to fill. And besides, CW President Dawn Ostroff did say at the latest press tour that she would definitely consider bringing the show back.

3. Mark Schwan and the producers have exciting plans for the 5th season. Rumor has it, as most of you probably know by now, that they will skip the college years and move on to the later years. Sounds really interesting.

With climbing ratings, support from The CW, and promising storylines, one can only assume that the show will return next season. But this being the random business of television, one never knows, so let's hope for the best!

Friendship

In life, we meet people we called friends, some people expected too much from this friendship making them hurt,we believed that whether through good times and bad times they are always there, but you'll just know if this is true when the time already challenged you...

It hurts so much that you did everything to them expecting that they will be there for you but sad to say this isn't true, they left you behind crying, hurting and leaving you...

They have moved on over the years but not noticing that you are overwhelmed with tears, hoping that someday friendship will come back which already has come to an end...

So much bitterness and loneliness that the friendship grew which took over years and stayed so blue...

Some friends have stayed which you see them as true and be there with you even without a single clue...

So worried and so excited, some moved on without being invited and just be shocked with a great news that they already kneeled down the pues, others are just there when there is an event, didn't care the experiences we went...

I knew friendship is not perfect nor we can never regret, they make us stronger and we may never forget those times we've been together that will always remain forever...
we have to start a new journey, a journey we might didn't expect that in the end we might be still called forever friends... :'(

Games Uplate Live

What do you do when you can't sleep at night? or simply want to stay late? Well in my case I watch Games Uplate Live in ABS-CBN around 12:30am to 2:30am depending on what day and it is aired Mondays through Saturdays.

The games are divided into three, the first one is like a TextTwist game which you should make a word using only the given letters, but recently they have changed the game into a "make a word out of the given syllables." The second game is that they will post a board where a corresponding prize is allocated to the corresponding answer which the caller should give under a certain category given by the host, but recently they have changed the game into a crossword puzzle minus finding the answer diagonally. The third game is kindda fast because only one caller is given a chance to give an answer in a given category. The prize given in this game depends if the jackpot is answered previously. By the way, sometimes they put a certain amount of time each game.

Before you could join, you should first registered once and they say it's free, then you could choose to download either a ringtone, a picture message or logos. Each download costs P10.

When I first watched this program, I find it boring but of course curious of what the program offers and do. And as time goes by, being an insomniac, I find the program interesting and fun because you could interact or answer the games offered to win certain amount of money or things depending on the mechanics of the game. It's good that it is hosted by Jaymee Joaquin and its making midnights not boring but more lively. And yes, I joined the games offered because its so tempting whenever you know the answer to their games, but unfortunately I am not called even once, maybe I am not lucky enough to win in these kind of games but absolutely it entertains me.

TriNoMa

When I came back to Manila from Baguio City, I was shocked that there is already a new mall located near SM North EDSA and beside the MRT. It's either it wasn't shown in the news in Baguio or I wasn't able to heard it from the news. So being a mall'aholic person, I definitely didn't pass visiting the said mall and urgently please my family to drop by and check it out. So Sunday came and we decided to visit it. When we reached the north end of the MRT station, we didn't know that we are already at the site until we turned right at Balintawak. At first its seems to me that it is just like the Metropoint in Pasay but only bigger, but when we finally walked through the middle of it, it was like the Glorietta and Market! Market! because it has an activity center, the difference is that it is made with different style of walkways and the best part is the front of the mall. The best features from me is I guess is divided into 4 and these are:

The front facade of the mall
Well we didn't enter at the front of the mall since it is located facing diagonally near the Visayas Ave. (I don't know if its the right street) and its facade is so great because it's walls are made with colored bricks with a Mediterranean style plus there's a fountain located before you enter the mall proper and there's a fountain in every floor connected to each other. The stairs has also a fountain effect. Another plus factor is the presence of the trees and plants arranged to have a scenic effect.

The stores
The stores are the same with other malls except that you could walk through other stalls (depends on the store) like Mercury Drug which you could enter on the other side and exit on the other. The stores you could find there are almost branded like the stores in Shangri-La, but you could still enjoy low-priced goods because a flagship of Landmark Department store is in there. There is also a "Toys R' Us" store there and a food court which you could walk-through

The Cinema Lobby
The Cinema Lobby is so spacious and it houses the famous stores like Taters, and the stores which sells mini burgers plus there is a Krispy Kreme store (donuts). There is also a TimeZone, McDonald's, Be_Connected (Internet) and a different kind of restaurant which is the "Five Cows" (good interiors by the way). The cinema lobby is also connected to the rooftop zen garden.

The Rooftop Zen Garden
It houses the world-famous Starbucks at the middle of the zen-garden. You could stroll there using the wooden bridges without side handles, so be careful when walking. There are also mini ponds but without the fishes and the water is still clear when we came there, and you coulf still see the PVC pipes used for the fountain effect. A plus factor there is they made a fog-like effect behind the trees and the plants.
Better check it out by yourselves and see what you think...

Call Centers

I'm considering myself in working at a call center, but I'm having trouble thinking if I should pursue it or not since the results of the NLE are not yet out. It would be a great opportunity for me to practice my English skills, to have more friends and of course frankly of what the call centers could offer financially. It's a big help for my family since my sister is about to leave for Dubai to work and my brother is already in college and I have to help to support my family. My other friends offer me to work in some pharmaceutical company to work to be a medical representative, but I think the work is very tiring since you have to go to one place and another offering medicines and stuffs to doctors and hospitals, but the fallback is that, it has great benefits like having a car, a new cellphone and allowance and of course you could work on a morning shift basis. My other classmate in college recommended me to try to be a nursing research assistant, but my question is where could I find one? After all I have been searching job vacancies on job search tools but almost all the hiring companies are call centers with a few on outsourcing business (sadly I tried this one but didn't respond).

The 10 years of Nursing Licensure Exam June 2007 results

It's been two months since I took the Nursing Licensure Exam in Baguio City but the results are not out yet and the people who took the said exams either getting bored at home or already got another job different from their career such as the booming industry of the call centers. Because you will need a license so that you could practive your profession, but of course we could still work but in a low-salary and not as a registered nurse. What a waste of time because of the delays, other exams like the Physical and Occupational Therapists already got their results. The Professional Regulation Commission had said on their early announcements that they are having a hard time checking the exams since there are only 10 optical scanners that could check our papers but how come other profession's exams are already out?? Hope that the agony will end as the commission had saif that they would probably release the results by the end of August and of course with at least a positive feedback to everyone who is waiting.
